Në Afganistan është shqetësues numri i vajzave të vogla të cilat detyrohen të martohen e më pas bëjnë fëmijë.

Para disa vjetësh fotografja e National Geographic, Stephanie Sinclair,  kishte bërë një seri të fotografive me vajza të reja që janë detyruar të martohen.

Ajo bëri një seri të fotografive të cilat i botoi në librin “Shumë të reja për tu martuar”, transmeton Klan Kosova.

Kur po dokumentonte këto hisotri, ajo takoi Mejgon, transmeton Klan Kosova.

Kur Mejgon ishte 11 vjeçe babai e shiti për një burrë të martuar 60 vjeçar.

Fotografja ishte prekur shumë nga një fjali që dikur i kishte thënë ajo.

“Në gjithë jetën time, nuk kam ndier kurrë dashuri”, ishte shprehur atë kohë Mejgon.

Sinclair në vitin 2003 kishte filluar që t’i fotografonte nuset në Afganistan, ku 53 përqind e grave ishin të martuara përpara moshës 18 vjeçare.

Aracely is one of the half a million of Guatemalan girls who marry and give birth before they can legally vote, drink, or buy cigarettes. According to a 2012 UN Population Fund survey, 30% of Guatemalan women aged 20-24 were married by 18, and that number may be even higher in rural areas. Teenage births are so common that there’s even a law requiring mothers under 14 to have C-sections, because their hips are too narrow to give birth.
