134 famous fashion photographs were featured in the auction.

It included a line-up of work by legendary photographers Albert Watson, Irving Penn, Peter Lindbergh and David LaChapelle.

Guy Bourdin began his photography career in the 1950s.

Bourdin was considered a pioneer in the art throughout the '70s and '80s.

An influential figure in the photography industry, Newton is known for weaving erotic and taboo themes into his work early in his career.

Peter Lindbergh felt that the role of a photographer was to "free women, and finally everyone, from the terror of youth and perfection," favoring candid moments over the planned poses that were popular at the time.

The work of David LaChapelle is often highly saturated and provocative.

Miles Aldridge is known for creating loud and technicolor photographs.

This photograph features Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn, who was Penn's muse at the time. Soon after this photograph, the two were married.

According to Avedon, this photograph captured actress Marilyn Monroe in a rare quiet moment. "When the night was over and the white wine was over and the dancing was over, she sat in the corner like a child, with everything gone."
