Prindërit nuk i lejuan të martohen, ata martohen pas 65 vjetësh

Në vitin 1951 Davy Moakers dhe Helen Andre ishin dashuruar teksa studionin në një shkollë të artit. Por, prindërit e Helen i kishin ndaluar ata që të martohen pasi nuk i pëlqente ambicia prej artisti që kishte Davy.

Të dy u ndan, dhe u martuan me njerëz të tjerë. Helen u martua tre herë e Davy dyherë, transmeton Klan Kosova.

Sipas The Sun, Helen ishte vetëm 19 vjeçare kur nëna e saj e ndaloi që të martohet me Davy.

Por tani 65 vite më pas, Helen kishte gjetur një skulpturë të djalit të Davy në fshatin ku ishin takuar për herë të parë.

Vajza e saj, më pas e kishte gjetur Davy në rrjete sociale. Ai ishte i martuar atë kohë, mirëpo gruaja e tij vdiq një vit e gjysmë më parë. Kështu që, u martua me Helen javën e kaluar.

“Nuk mund të jem më e lumtur, të gjithë ëndrrat e mija janë realizuar. E kam dashuruar Davy gjatë gjithë jetës time. Por tani ai është i imi. Po kënaqemi në çdo minutë. Po ndihem sikur një adoleshente, po më duket sikur nuk ka ndryshuar asgjë”, ka thënë Helen.

A couple who were forced to call off their engagement because the bride's parents did not approve of the groom have finally tied the knot 65 years later. Davy Moakes, 86, and Helen Andre, 82, met and fell in love at art college and Davy proposed in 1951. But his fiancée's parents would not give their blessing to the union – fearing Davy would struggle to provide for his family if he pursued a career as an artist. "When I was 19 and my mother and father stopped me from marrying him I was heartbroken and I never stopped loving him. Really, they wanted to decide who I married – not me. They were quite Victorian like that." said Helen. The two broke up, and each married other people. Helen went on to be widowed three times, while Davy has lost two spouses. But the pair are now 'madly in love' after being reunited last year with the help of Helen's daughter, Debbie Williams, and social media. They were married in a quiet register office ceremony at Ripley, Derbyshire, watched by Helen's three children and a handful of close friends. Talking from their honeymoon in Cyprus, Helen said: "I couldn't be happier, all my dreams have come true. I have loved Davy my whole life. But now I've got him. I'm enjoying every minute of it. I feel like a teenager again, it really is like nothing's changed." (@thesun)
